Wasatch Quilting is a long arm quilting service. For those of you unfamiliar with long arm quilting, my machine is a Computerized, Gammill, Statler Stitcher Optimum with a 24" arm - giving me the capability of doing up to King size quilts. Although recently I did a car seat carrier cover for my newest grand daughter. It was a pink and green paisley with a border of a coordinating fabric on the front and a pink Minkee on the back. I did it so it was reversible and quilted it with a paisley pattern, it turned out so cute, that every where she went someone wanted to know where she got it. So as you can imagine I am now busy with "carrier cover orders"...
A cute story...
We were at my daughters house for a barbeque one evening and my 6 year old grandson asked me if he could talk to me alone out on the deck for a minute. I assume it was because he did not want anyone to hear what he was about to ask for because he was too old. As we sat on the deck he said for my birthday can I have a baseball blanket?
Well you already know what he got for his birthday!
Another cute story...
One day my 2 year old grandson came into my quilting room and wanted a new blankee. He started going up to all my fabrics and putting out his hand and feeling them between his fingers. It didn't matter what design it had on it, only how it felt. After going through several fabrics he came to the Minkee and said he wanted that - "right now" - the way it was. He wanted to take that piece of fabric home then and there for his blankee. I talked him into waiting until I could quilt it and gave it to him for his birthday. Well now I am doing cuddle blankets with Minkee on one side and a theme of their choice, (baseball, soccer, dinosaurs, fishes, trucks, race cars, ect...) on the other side and then quilted with that theme through it for my grandchildren for their birthdays. Even the adults want one! My husband's request is a U of U with black Minkee on the back side.... we will post picture as soon as we can!
